Otis Verhamme (26) is a Belgian artist, designer and founder of Magnolia Worldwide, an independent creative project born in Belgium in 2018. Working across textile, fashion, photography and visual culture, his practice combines handmade production, self-directed design and a strong interest in underground and contemporary culture.
Magnolia Worldwide operates as both a creative label and an experimental platform, where garments, objects, images and printed works are developed and produced largely in-house.
Born into a family with a strong sensitivity to art and creativity, he was exposed from an early age to a rich visual world, exploring drawing, photography and video, graphic design, painting, sewing, and as many other forms of creative ex- pression as possible. Largely self-taught across these practices, he graduated in photography from ESA Saint-Luc Tournai, Belgium. His academic experience primarily helped shape his way of working and encouraged him to further develop Magnolia Worldwide.
